Cultura científica no mundo da vida : um estudo sobre a ciência, educação e informação na palma da mão

Abstract

The daily life is the primary source of creation and inspiration for many researchers, a continuous becoming that expresses a philosophical transformation of the individual who experiences it. In this sense, we understand everyday life as the “world of life” that is produced and reproduced ordinarily, in an eternal movement, and that is closely related to the individuality of the subject and to everything he lives. In order to better understand science in the everyday aspect and contribute to the discussion about ubiquitous scientific culture, we investigate scientific knowledge in the digital universe present in people's daily lives, on screens that slide at the touch of a finger. And more objectively, we develop reflections on the way in which scientific culture, in the form of scientific dissemination, is built and transmitted in the palm of the hand, through smartphones. Thus, we outline three research axes: Science, Communication and Education, entangling the theoretical contributions of Berger and Luckmann (2004), Bourdieu (1984, 2004), Canclini (2006), Certeau (1996, 2008), Heller (2004), Irwin (1998), Lefebvre (1981), Lévy-Leblond (2004), Maffesoli (1984, 1995) Schultz (1979), Vogt (2003, 2006), Pais (2003), among others. Regarding the methodology, the research is qualitative and addresses historical information and philosophical reflections, while maintaining a dialogue with the experience lived in the field research, that has an ethnographic character, designed with the purpose of investigating, monitoring, describing and analyzing information on the interactions of two schools in the city of Barra do Garças -MT, with scientific content on mobile devices. The study showed that there are countless ways to popularize science at school, to expand the Scientific Culture to the family and, mainly, to offer propositional answers to society. We point out the emergence of the Scientific Mediator as a new agent in the process of interaction and scientific dissemination that experiences science in networks and transports scientific knowledge to the education of young people, transforming Scientific Culture in everyday life into a social phenomenon.
